How we handle your information
Last updated: September 2026
Prominato ("we", "us") provides private chef and estate staffing placement services. Discretion is central to what we do, and that extends to how we treat your information.
What we collect
When you contact us, book a consultation, subscribe to our newsletter, or apply to join our network, we collect the details you choose to share: typically your name, email address, phone number, and the message or professional information you submit. Our website also collects standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, through server logs and, where enabled, analytics tools.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your inquiry, arrange consultations and introductions, evaluate candidate applications, send the newsletter you opted into, and improve our website and services. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to deliver our services: with chefs or household professionals you ask us to introduce you to (and vice versa, with your consent), and with service providers that help us run the business, such as our form-processing, scheduling, and email providers. These providers may only use your information to perform services for us.
Security and retention
We take reasonable measures to protect your information and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
Candidates and applicants
This section applies to chefs and household professionals who apply to join our network, wherever you live.
Who we are. Prominato LLC, Michigan, USA, is the data controller for the information you give us when you apply. Reach us at info@prominato.com or (248) 242-3064.
What we collect. Your name, contact details, location, work history, CV, pay expectations, availability, travel and relocation preferences, references you choose to provide, and whether you are authorized to work in the United States. We do not ask for photographs, date of birth, marital status, health information, or citizenship before an offer is made.
Why, and on what basis. We process your information because it is in our legitimate interest, and yours, to match qualified candidates with households that need them (UK and EU GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Once you accept an engagement, we process it to perform our agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b)). Where we ask for your consent, for example to keep you in our network beyond twelve months, you can withdraw it at any time.
Who sees it. Our team, and client households only after you tell us you are interested in a specific role, and then only the details needed to consider you. Our service providers (Google Workspace, Monday.com, Calendly) process it under data processing agreements. We never sell candidate information.
Where it is kept. In the United States. For candidates in the EU or UK, transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses and, for Google, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it. Twelve months from your last contact with us, then deleted, unless you ask us to keep you in our network, in which case we check in with you every twelve months.
No automated decisions. Every match is reviewed by a person. We do not use automated profiling to reject candidates.
Your choices and contact
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email, and you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing info@prominato.com.
Candidates in the EU or UK can ask for a copy of their information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. Email info@prominato.com and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Questions about this policy can be sent to info@prominato.com or (248) 242-3064.
